Hello everyone, Lu-Lu here with some sad news about our blog. Since our human`s dad had cancer surgery she has been spending alot of time with him in the human hospital. So much time that she barely has time for blogging anymore. Since grandpa is going to be in a nursing home for awhile and needs her there daily, she just doesn`t have the time to run two blogs.

Lucius and I both hope that someday grandpa will be better and back home, and that we`ll be able to come back and start blogging again. We really love our blog and all our wonderful friends both feline and canine that we`ve made but grandpa has to come first. But we will still post when we can at her other blog. We hope you all come to visit us there!

Lu-Lu`s Fabu Movie Review

Hello fans of fabulous felines! Lu-Lu here once more with another one of my fabu movie reviews!

This time we`re going to lay a very lovely cats-eye (Mine that is) to the 1997 movie ‘Men in Black’, and yes, there is a sound reason why I chose this action/sci-fi/comedy to review!

Of course many would say that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones were the stars, but I beg to differ! The real star of this movie which was based on a comic book (My geeky goatherder lady INSISTED I add that) is the very svelte and professional cat Orion who wore the galaxy on his collar! This lovely orange and white tabby very cleverly stole the show in this reviewer’s humble opinion. Personally I am sure that the $587 million dollars this movie grossed was in large part due to the animal actors involved.

Not only was Orion a huge draw but there was also a pug named Frank who added a great deal of humor and class. He is nearly as handsome as our friends Brutus and Yoda!

Of course the human actors did quite well also. Lucius was very intrigued by the action and fight scenes but being a mancat that is to be expected I suppose.

Since I had a terrible time trying to find a picture of Orion *Flattens ears in vexation* I have included a small video snippet from the movie which demonstrates what a wonderful thespian this cat truly is! It is no small role to carry an entire galaxy on ones feline neck! Even though this clip is not in my native tongue Orion`s performance shines through in any language!!

So after all is meowed and done I give Men in Black a very solid four purrs, with an extra leg rub tossed in for Frank and Orion!

Hello fans of fabulous felines, it`s me Lu-Lu typing today and am I bored! So, so bored.

It has been very ugly here over the past two days. Rain and rain and more rain! Just when it seems to clear up then another rain cloud passes over. I wish it were sunny like it is in that lovely picture of me ensuring I get attention! Why this morning both Lucius and I were outside and it rained! On us!!! Rest assured we beat a hasty path to the front porch and demanded to be let inside! Ugh. Our fur was wet! Truly I dislike wet fur. After I spent an hour or so getting presentable then Lucius began his silliness. He is bored too and has all this yellow kitten energy to burn off.

As I was walking past minding my own business, he swooped down from the coffeetable. I was in no mood, since I had just gotten my fur back in its proper place and I let him have it but good! Clouds of yellow fur flew. I did get a scolding but it was well worth it!

Does anyone have a good indoor game for cats to play?? If so, please let me know. Now I have to go take a nap but after our goofy goatherder comes back from giving away her blood *Shrugs shoulders* I`ll make her fire up the laptop and I`ll check back in. I hope my friends have some suggestions. A bored cat and kitten eagerly await your replies!

A sweet stealth lesson

Hi friends! It`s me Lucius-a.k.a. Ninja Cat!

I figured since Lu-Lu can give lessons to young cats about important cat stuff I could too! But instead of sitting on my furry britches and talking ( Something she is REALLY good at )I`m gonna teach by example! So anyone who wishes to learn my uber kewl skills pay attention because I move so fast I`m amazed the camera could capture my radical skills!

First you gotta locate your prey. In this case it just happened to be a crinkly candy wrapper that was moving back and forth on the edge of the coffee-table. Don`t let anything distract you! Not even a big black dog who is eying the candy too!

Second when the timing is just right-Pounce! Make sure you lay down real flat and wiggle your butt beforehand `cause thats part of the technique.

Thirdly play with your prey! This is totally important because it shows that prey who is really the big mancat!

I know I make it look real easy but it takes lots of purractice to perfect skills this massive. Don`t give up though! I know you can do it! Now head out there dudes and dudettes and put those radical feline stealth skills to the test!

Cats VS. Dogs-The Battle for the Recliner

Hello fans of fabulous felines, Lu-Lu at the keyboard this fine day! We had quite a battle royale here yesterday and I`ve chosen to provide the commentary.

It all began when Lucius ( Who I feel is getting too big for his britches since catching that nasty old mouse )came inside after another journey into the weeds. He was rather damp and decided he wished to groom himself upon the man goatherder`s seat. As you will see there was a dog already resting in the recliner. It came down to a contest of brute force versus feline cunning or as the little yellow braggart would say 'Uber Kewl Ninja Skills'. *Sighs and rolls lovely eyes*

The initial encounter-

Trinity expresses her feelings about sharing with a damp show-off-

A moment of indecision!

Now the quick feline brain decides to try a different tactic...foot-licking and purring.

The 'Lick-the-dog-until-it-leaves' ploy works!! We have a winner in the eternal struggle between canines and felines!

I would like to take a moment to point out that the lovely blue collar with matching bell that Lucius has on during this rumble is now lost. After only one day! Personally I adore my pretty collar and would never think to lose it but then again I am simply more fabu than a certain yellow mancat.

Hi everybody it`s me Lucius and I am so proud of myself! Yup, today I used all my ninja-cat uber kewl skills and caught my first mouse!!

My human lady was really thrilled that I brought it to the front door, I could tell! She said I was an A #1 mouser and a fine mancat!

She told me I could share my proudness with all my blog friends! We cats SO rock!

Hi everyone!! It`s me Lucius!

Boy it sure has been hot here! Lu-Lu and me have been really lazy lately, just cat napping most of the day away. It`s even been too hot to show the chickens my ninja-cat skills!

But I did get a real good laugh when we woke up yesterday from our morning nap! Lu-Lu and I came out to have a brunch nibble of some Kit-N-Kaboodle. After our snack I leaped all stealthy like into one front window to stare at the chickens pecking around and Lu-Lu jumped into the other one.

“Hey Lucius,” she said.”Bet you a fur mouse I can pull these wash clothes from the hanger!”

“You are SO on Lu-Lu!” I said because I knew if she did pull them down, she would get the dickens since those are the cloths the goatherder`s use to wash the goat udders with when they milk. Mmmmm yummy goat milk….Sorry, I was licking my whiskers just thinking about fresh milk.

When the goofy goatherder wasn`t looking Lu-Lu reached up and started tugging. I guess humans can hear pretty good because our lady turned around real fast like and caught her red-pawed. Lu-Lu tried really hard to let go and act all nonchalant and stuff but her claw was stuck!

I laughed and laughed! It was nice to see someone else catch the dickens besides me all the time! Even that white chicken outside saw the predicament Lu-Lu was in and began laughing real chicken-like! After the goatherder lady took these pictures she went over and got Lu-Lu`s claw unstuck from the wash rags! I was rolling around on the windowsill holding my sides! I laughed so hard I fell from the ledge and landed on a big black dog sleeping under me!

Lu-Lu was really embarrassed to be caught like that! I guess she doesn`t possess uber kewl skills like me despite all her bragging huh? She kind of hinted (With a sharp claw wagged in my nose) that if ANYONE found out about it she would track me down like the varlet that I am. I don`t know what a varlet is but I do know I couldn`t let those pictures not be seen by our friends every---

Oh heck! Here she comes!!!

Hello fans of fabulous felines, Professor Lu-Lu here with another lesson for kittens!

Any of you who have young cats please do gather them around your monitor. In lieu of an apple I encourage my feline learner`s to leave some Whisker Lickens seafood treats on their teachers desk.

Is everyone ready for class to begin??

*Lucius stops attacking imaginary evil ninja and plunks yellow rump down*

Excellent! Today`s lesson in catitude and bedevilment deals with the proper way of stalking and pouncing upon toes. Yes class there is a right way to stalk human feet. I have witnessed many a clumsy attempt made by my little blond cohort over the past two months. It is up to us felines to ensure all our moves are elegant and refined and not bumbling lurches like our canine friends!

My technique is a tried and true one. One that has given me great success and numerous pinky toe catches! And it is very simple and yet wondrously stealthy!

Always begin your toe attack with a complete and utter air of disinterest class. This can be accomplished by something as simple as a yawn or a good face grooming. I am fond of the classic’ I`m simply lounging on the arm of the couch’ approach myself. This lulls the human, and their wiggling toes, into a false sense of complacency.

Now that your little piddie prey is occupied and not in the least suspicious of your ulterior motives-POUNCE!!!

If you have the choice students, always go after the toes of a younger human in your house. Their squeals are much higher and therefore more fulfilling.

A couple of warnings though my eager learners-

Do NOT try this on any goatherding man who may be wearing a ball cap!! Also this technique is not recommended for zombie goatherding women who have yet to stumble to the coffee pot in the morning. The expletives that flow after attacking a shuffling undead woman are NOT suitable for tender kitten ears!

Now go forth and practice what Professor Lu-Lu has preached!

Ninja-Cat Strikes Again!

Hi everyone, Lucius here!! Boy have I been having fun the past few days honing my uber-kewl ninja skills! I`ve been really improving my stealth, speed and general stalking ability! My people just can`t keep up! It`s so much fun! One minute Ninja-Cat is outside skulking!

Then WOOSH I`m inside setting my catastic sights on a fly!

HI-YAH! I`m back outside on the wishing well roof!

FLASH! I hear the refrigerator door opening and leap inside to ensure no evil ninjas are lurking amid the soda pop and leftover corn!

But even uber-kewl ninja-cats need to take a breather with a buddy sometimes.

So what do you cats and dogs do for fun??

Hello fans of fabulous felines! It`s me Lu-Lu typing away as quickly as my paws will allow because I`m so very excited! Our friend Mr. Pip at Pip Gets Back in the Game was gracious enough to give Lucius and me an award!

This is our very first blogging award and we are just tickled to the very end of our whiskers!! Thank you Mr. Pip, you are one purrrfect example of a wonderful friend!

The award states that we have to reveal seven things about us then pass along ten new blogs that we visit. So we`ll begin with the revelations first.

1-I simply adore spending time lounging on the goofy goatherder`s arms when she is trying to write! Oh she does spit and mutter at first if my foot accidentally adds several hundred Z`s to her page, but eventually she realizes just what is more important and then some serious feline appreciation begins!

2-Lucius loves spending time outdoors! Here is a picture of him in his ‘Uber Kewl Ninja-Cat mode’ as he stalks some unsuspecting chicken!

3-I am just over a year old and Lucius is four months old.

4-Lucius name came from the song by Charlie Daniels entitled ‘The Legend of the Wooly Swamp’. The characters name in the song was Lucius Clay.

5-I am particularly fond of Baked Cheeto`s and popcorn for an evening snack.

6-Both Lucius and I will stick up our noses at any dry cat food that is not Kit-N-Kaboodle.

7-Our favorite toys are human toes but if we can`t grab those we really love our fluffy balls and catnip mice!

Darn goats!

Hello fans of fabulous felines, Lu-Lu here and I am out of sorts!

Since Sunday our humans have hardly been around. All they talk about is this goat and that goat! Why yesterday the goofy goatherder and the blond girl with the yummy toes were gone ALL DAY LONG! Lucius really missed them and although we did have the dogs for company it just wasn`t the same. Why I haven`t even had time on the laptop due to this goat show thingy-ma-bob!

Any whiskers since I am a rather gracious feline I did concede to allow the lady who has ignored me-I mean Lucius- the honor of mentioning her other blog. The one that deals with farm animals and her rather odd thoughts. Personally I don`t see the appeal of cows and goats and all those other assorted animals who reside in barns but who am I to say?

So due to my generous nature and a liberal amount of make-up petting here is the link to her blog where you can see the results of this years goat show at the fair.

Hi everyone! It`s me Lucius!

I`m feeling MUCH better since having to go and get my shots the other day! Man, those things hurt! Although the man was kind of nice, why he and my goatherder lady even talked about me going in three months to get tutored! How cool is that?!?!

Anypurrs, since Lu-Lu and me are kind of new kittens on this blogging block I thought it would uber kewl to introduce you to the other animals we live with here on our hillside farm, just so you know who they are and what me and Miss Cranky-Puss think about them.

First off there is Poe.

She`s the oldest animal on our farm so I thought I`d start with her…age and rank and all that. Poe is a yellow dog. A Labrador I think the goofy goatherder said. She will be eleven in October. She used to love to hunt birds (I know, right?! I do too!!)With the goatherder man but she had to retire because of her hips being hurtful. Poe is pretty okay for an old dog, just don`t leap on her tail when she`s asleep! Unless you possess ninja skills like me of course!

This is Trinity.

She`s a black dog of the Labrador kind too. She loves to carry things in her mouth. She`s only seven or eight-I don`t remember exactly what the lady said. Trinity is pretty cool. She just lies on the floor like a big lump and lets me chase her tail. She never even shows me her teeth like Poe does. Sometimes me and Lu-Lu blame the broken stuff on Trinity because she has such a happy tail! We cats are such stinkers at times!

Now this is Tinker.

Tinker is a beagle dog and TONS of fun! Tinker and me will race around the house when he gets silly! I`ll leap high into the air as he races past with his butt dragging real low! Tinker cracks me up! I guess maybe because he is only like four is why he is so much more fun than the older dogs! I wish we had like a gajillion Tinker-dogs!

These are the goats.

I don`t like the goats too much. Sometimes I go down with the blond girl and visit them but they`re really big and have those scary goat eyes! I do LOVE the fresh goat milk the humans bring from the barn everyday though! That creamy, fresh milk is the cat`s pajamas!!*Licks whiskers just thinking about it*

We have cows too.

Two great BIG cows! Lu-Lu and me, we don`t go near those cows. They are just too big! Thier names are Sir Patrick of Moo and Bubba. I think Patty is the red one and Bubba is the white polka-dotted one, but don`t make me swear on a stack of catnip about that!

And chickens!

We have seriously like a bajillion chickens running around! Big chickens! Little chickens! Chickens that crow and chickens that lay eggs! One day this one chicken had these little chickens with her….I guess she was their mom or something? Any whiskers, I tried to sneak up on them in super cat-ninja mode. That mommy chicken was mean and pecked me on the head! So word up to my fellow ninja cats, don`t EVER try to stealth a mommy chicken!

Last on the list are the ducks and geese.

Now I kind of like the ducks. They waddle around and talk all kinds of funny duck talk! That mean mommy hen I talked about? She attacked one of the ducks just yesterday for getting too close to her little peeping babies. The geese on the other hand….me and Lu-Lu and the three dogs keep a WIDE space from them pinching geese! I don`t even like the looks of them big old bills! And the noise they make!!! Their wee-snawing makes my ears lay down flat to my head!! Even bestial cool ninja cats don`t go near the geese!

So there you have it! All the fun and whacky animals me and Miss Bat-You-On-The-Head live with! Hope you liked meeting our big farm family!

Lucius` Just For Laughs Video Pick

Hello fans of fabulous felines, Lu-Lu here at the keyboard!

In actuality this blog entry was supposed to be posted by Lucius, but the poor little kitten is feeling kind of under the weather today. Yesterday the goatherder and her daughter put us in the carriers and we went to the veterinarian.

We both got three immunizations which didn`t bother me but short-man always seems to just want to sleep after he gets his boosters.

Being the svelte and compassionate cat that I am, I told him I would put up this video clip that he had chosen to show you. Lucius laughs and laughs at this montage and when he wakes up I plan to show it to him and maybe it will perk him up. Not that I miss him playing-I mean annoying- me mind you!

Innocent until proven guilty

Hi friends, it`s me Lucius sitting quietly in the window because I think we might be in trouble.

I know, right? How can anyone with a cuteness factor as high as mine is be in trouble? Lu-Lu being in trouble I can understand because she`s a grumpy puss sometimes, but me??? See it all started last night. Did you know that humans sleep at night? They do! Our doggy buddies do too but me and Lu-Lu, well we just can`t seem to sleep when it`s dark out.

Lu-Lu says that only the highest evolved prowl at night and that we cats are very much smarter than dogs. I don`t know about that since Lu-Lu talks a lot about fancy things but I do know we got a VERY sound scolding when our goatherder lady woke up this morning. Ya know, looking at the goatherder lady when she gets up, well maybe Lu-Lu is right about us being more involved or whatever it was she said.

Any whiskers, somehow during the night this happened.

Now I kind of recall playing tag with Lu-Lu when the house was dark. And I maybe remember running over the coffee table, but I do not have any recollection of that glass duck getting its wing broke!

Lu-Lu checked it out for clues and she said one of the dogs (Bet it was that big black one with the happy tail) must have knocked the books and glass ducks to the floor. I agree! There`s no way a couple of cats could have done something so bad. Yup, it was the dogs. That`s our story and we`re sticking to it!!

Lu-Lu`s fabu Feline Movie Review

Hello fans of fabulous felines! Lu-Lu here with another catastic movie review from a feline perspective!

Now before anyone gets upset…yes I did say that Lucius could do the next review. Since I am a cat of my word I allowed him time to view this movie at my side. Sadly short-stuff has the attention span of a gnat and can`t seem to sit in one place for longer than two minutes, unless he`s taking a cat-nap of course. So as I watched our movie for this review Lucius played with my tail, chased dogs, ate a dropped potato chip from the floor, ran into the wall chasing a jingle ball, ate some of my Kit-N-Kaboodle then fell asleep beside a boot. *Sighs* Kittens.

So not wishing to disappoint my fellow felines, canines and humans I have another review for your pleasure. This time were going to talk about the wonderful movie ‘The Adventures of Milo & Otis’.

This movie is a live-action Japanese film about an orange tabby named Milo and a fawn pug named Otis.

Otis reminded me of our friends Yoda & Brutus over at ‘The Pugs Strike Back’ a great deal! And Milo did resemble a certain kitten I know. The Japanese version was released in 1986 and the reworked English version was released in the United States in 1989. Dudley Moore provided the narration for the English version and did a grand job! The director Masanori Hata and associate director Kon Ichikawa edited the film together from over 400,000 feet of footage shot over a period of four years! That is a lot of hard work!

The movie begins with a barn cat that has a litter of kittens. One of the kittens is named Milo and he seems to always be getting into trouble for being too curious. Although we ARE cats and curiosity is part of what makes us so purrrfectly feline don`t you think? As a kitten Milo meets, and becomes friends with, a pug puppy named Otis. Since I don`t wish to spoil anything for any who may not have seen this delightful film I won`t go into much more detail. There is action, adventure and love as the two friends try to return to their farm home I will mention though.

I give ‘The Adventures of Milo & Otis’ four purrs and recommend it for cats, dogs and humans alike! I`ll end my fabu review with a small clip from the movie that goes to show cats and dogs can be buddies true and through!

Kitten games!

Hi everybody!! It`s me Lucius!

Boy howdy life as a kitten sure is fun! I mean it seems like every day I discover a new game to play! Yesterday, after I got done trying to catch a black wagging dog tail I heard my goatherder lady getting into the closet in the kitchen. I love that closet so I sneaked from the black dog butt and used my mad ninja skills to stalk up on her.

I laid down real low to the ground and peeked around the corner. The lady was dragging something across the floor! Ooooo, I was really excited about that thing going back and forth, back and forth…it made my tail whip let me tell you! Then, when I couldn`t take it another second, I pounced out-Just like a mighty lion-and attacked!

It put up a good fight, and stirred up tons of animal hair. Oh, Lu-Lu says the hair was all dog hair and not cat hair because we swallow our hair and puke it back up at a more convenient time and location…whatever THAT means!

In the end my wicked kewl ninja skills paid off and the sweepy thing ran off to hide in the closet for the day. I know it`s in there though and I will maintain constant vigilance until it comes out again, then Hi-Yah! Ninja-Cat will strike again!!

Lu-Lu`s Tips for Kittens #1

Hello fans of fabulous felines, Lu-Lu once more at the laptop!

Ever since that Lucius fellow showed up here it`s become glaringly obvious to me that kitten`s need a guiding paw, a feline mentor if you will, who can instruct them in certain areas of proper cat devilment. Being just that sort of cat (Devilish) I decided I would step up and place the yoke of kitten education upon my svelte shoulders.

So any of you human`s who have kitten`s do place them by the computer monitor so they can begin to receive their feline education. There is plenty of room beside the blond kitten who has been eating my Kit-N-Kaboodle as opposed to his Kitten Chow.

*Lucius waves a paw*

Today`s lesson in catitude and bedevilment deals with flowers.

Flowers are beautiful creations of nature. They`re vibrantly colored and smell divine! Also flowers do attract many species of flying creatures. Moths, butterflies *Licks lips* and also bumblebee`s. Do NOT try to eat a bumblebee my young feline students! It`s most unpleasant.

Also flowers are fun just by themselves.

Outside they sway to and fro in the gentle summer breeze. You may pounce upon flowers my charges. You may also walk through, over and into flowers if you are on the trail of something. Don`t let the high-pitched wails of your human`s upset you kittens! Those are simply shouts of joy at the trampled begonia`s and the mouse tail they found on the porch.

Sometimes our humans will pick flowers and bring them inside. Why?? I truly cannot say but I suspect it`s because they know how we cats cherish them! Flowers are not only for smelling though little cats!!

Even if they are inside in a glass vase it is up to us to ensure that our humans know how much we appreciate their thoughtfulness. So whenever your human brings flowers inside do take time to ensure they know we located the bouquet, and thank them with a flower arrangement of your own. They will love it have no doubt!

Hi everyone, Lucius here! *Yawns widely*

Excuse me! I didn`t mean to yawn in your faces but today was one super busy day for this fun-loving kitten! It started out the same as always-playing with Miss Cranky-Puss-trying to climb the screens-watching a chipmunk outside with the big yellow dog. You know? Typical kewl cat stuff.

Then the goatherder lady brought in THE CARRIER. I didn`t like the looks of that cat tote but I did allow her to put me inside it `cause I`m a good guy that way.

After I was all settled in the blond girl with the yummy toes carried me out to the truck and we left. As we drove I started singing to the Godsmack music playing. And it was singing and NOT crying! Big rough tomcats like me don`t cry, we sing. I was trying to sing better than Sully Erna and I think I did. Suddenly the truck stopped and I got carried inside a VERY strange place!

I smelled of ALL kinds of different dogs and cats. There were strange people there too. I figured they hadn`t heard me singing like Sully Erna so I started singing again. The lady behind the desk must have really liked my song because she said I had really powerful lungs!

Then a door opened and someone called my name. I peeked through the front of my tote as the youngest goatherder toted me into another weird room. This room seemed better though since I could get out of the carrier. There was a lady there who seemed awfully nice, from a distance. My humans told me she was a veteran-airean. That confused me until they said her name was ‘Doctor.’

Doctor talked to me and picked me up. I thought she wanted to smooch and hug me since most folks do. Instead she put me on a long silver thing and said I weighed three point six pounds. Then she looked in my ears. I didn`t like that one bit! Doctor said I had ear mites and cleaned out my ears. I REALLY didn`t like that!! She looked at my teeth and told my humans I still had my baby teeth. Then she put some cold metal round thingy between my front legs.

Doctor listened real quiet like. I squirmed a lot! I wanted to investigate this new place not be listened to between my front legs! I did get close to the door once but Doctor was really fast and fished me out from under a table. Now that was fun! What came next wasn`t fun though!! The lady goatherder held me and Doctor poked me with something sharp!! TWICE!!! I really sang like Sully Erna when that happened!!

The carrier looked really good then!! My nice blond girl goatherder took me to the truck while the mean-hold-the-cat-so-he-can-get-poked goatherder took care of something to do with money, whatever THAT is! She took me out of the carrier and hugged and kissed me while we waited. The smooches and hugs kind of made the sharp pokes and ear-cleaning somewhat better.

When the lady got into the truck she said I had to come back in three weeks along with Lu-Lu. She told the blond girl that we would need another cat carrier. She also said that Doctor said I may be kind of sleepy. *Yawns again*

Sorry, I can`t seem to help myself. Guess it`s time to go back and finish my cat nap huh? I sure hope three weeks is a long, long, long, LONG time!! It is right?????

Hide and Seek-Kitten Style!

Hi there, Lucius here! Boy howdy did I discover a great game to play!! Wanna see?

Lu-Lu-a.k.a. Miss Cranky Puss-told me yesterday to go cover my eyes and then she would hide. At first I didn`t get why she would want to hide from me, it made no sense. Everyone who sees me hugs and smooches me and she wants to hide from me??? Lady cats are hard to figure out sometimes.

After Lu-Lu assured me it was a very fun game I figured why not! I`m a fun loving kitten! So I put my paws over my eyes and counted as high as I could. After I got to seventy-eleven I started looking for her.

I checked out the empty soda box. She`s not in here!

I looked inside this planter. I found squished flowers but no Lu-Lu.

I seeked behind the laptop but only found a whisker. Boy Lu-Lu sure is a good hider!

I tried to look under the couch but it was dark, so I pawed around under it. I found a toy mouse but no Lu-Lu there either! (Later the beagle dog ate the toy mouse. I heard the lady goatherder say she would buy more! I like those furry mice a lot!)

I lay down and spied my eye under the closet door. I saw a dust bunny but no fluffy Lu-Lu cat.

I even tried to find her in the beagle dog’s dinner! The beagle dog didn`t seem to think Lu-Lu was mixed in with his kibbles but I wasn`t taking any chances! She`s pretty stealthy!

I was really stumped. Where in the world could she be?? I figured I would go lie down and nap and maybe I would dream up her hiding place. One night I dreamed up a new aluminum foil ball and the next day, like some sort of catastic magic one appeared! I must have powerful feline dream magic!! When I got onto the goatherders big bed I suddenly stopped. There was a big Lu-Lu sized lump under the pretty flower blanket. Aha!! I found you Lu-Lu!!

I do have some mad ninja cat skills!

Lu-Lu`s Fabu Feline Movie Review

Lu-Lu-Hello fans of fabulous felines! I thought it would be catastic if I gave my very distinguished views on movies that feature us wonderful felines! I know how valued my opinions are among the goatherders I live with and I wished to share them on my new blog! So without any further delay here is my review of--

Lucius-Ahem?

Lu-Lu-Oh hello there short-stuff, I suppose you want in on the action? Tell you what, you can do the next one. Does that uncurl your whiskers?

Lucius-Really?!?!? Wow!! Thanks! You`re a really kewl cat….well when you`re not all cross and cranky. I`m off to start watching movies!!*Leaps out of basket to find human to put in DVD*

Lu-Lu-Now where was I? Oh yes, my Fabu Feline Movie review! I`m going to begin with one of my purrferred films The Aristocats.

This movie was released in 1970 by Walt Disney Productions. It has an all-star cast supplying the voices –Eva Gabor as Duchess, Phil Harris as Thomas O`Malley (That O`Malley is just dreamy!) along with Sterling Halloway, Scatman Crothers and Pat Buttram. Maurice Chevalier even came out of retirement to sing the theme song for the movie!

It centers on the adventures of Duchess and her three kittens-Marie, Berlioz and Toulouse who share their house with their adoring human Madame Adelaide Bonfamille, a retired opera singer, and one disreputable butler named Edgar. *Hisses at Edgar* I don`t wish to spoil but I will say it`s a fun-filled and musically rich movie from beginning to end for humans and cats alike!!

I give Disney`s The Aristocats four purrs! And I`ll leave you with one of the hippest songs ever sung by some way cool cats! Enjoy!

The life of the party!!

Hi there, Lucius here! I got some laptop time since Miss Cranky-Puss is off pouting.

I hope everyone who celebrates it had a very good 4th of July! This was my first one and I didn`t know what to expect. My mom got up early and made something called macaroni salad. It looked really good but she wouldn`t let me taste it to make sure. I have a great taster but you know humans!

Pretty soon it was time for them to leave for the cook-out and guess what!? They said I could go!! Lu-Lu had to stay home and she got very cross. Can I help it my cuteness factor is so high?

We got in the truck and I rode with the blond girl who I sleep with. She`s really nice! Once we got to the picnic place I was the center of attention!

Everyone wanted to hold me and scratch me. I love hugging and petting but I just wanted to go investigate this new house!

When it was time to eat I got to go outside and play in the grass! It was a lot of fun, there were bare toes that wiggled around.

There was also a creek that I thought needed prowling but my humans thought different I guess. They kept me out of the high weeds because they said they were afraid I would get lost. I kind of understand that but boy-oh-boy did those weeds look fantastic!!

Now I think I`m going to go take a nap. Well maybe I`ll nap after I go tell Lu-Lu what a great time I had! I bet she`ll be REALLY cross when she hears what a star I was!!

Lu-Lu- Well here I am at the laptop and boy was today—

Lucius-Hi! Hi! Don`t forget me!!

Lu-Lu-If only I could. Go play with a dust bunny short-stuff.

Lucius-Okay!

Lu-Lu-Thank goodness, now where was I?? Oh yes, today was a busy day for us and a special day as well. All night I was up prowling…I mean pacing, just wondering if that goofy goatherder had remembered it was my birthday. She should have, I mean what other cat has such verve and catitude right?

*Lucius runs past with dust bunny in mouth*

Lu-Lu-I think I`ve made my point. Finally 4 AM rolled around and the zombie woman schlepped from her bedroom. She gifted me with a wonderful assortment of presents after her coffee kicked in.

I got a new blue collar. Personally we could have skipped the annoying little bell if you ask me. How am I supposed to catch birds with….Ah, I see. And I thought we cats were the sneaky ones! I also got a container of Pounce Moist treats, seafood medley. *Licks lips*Also there was a duo of crunchy balls for me to play with. Please note I said ME and not WE!

Lucius-I like the crunchy balls! They sound like paper! Are you mad again Miss Cranky Puss? Your ears are all flat to your head.

Lu-Lu-Please ignore the little beanie-head. So after I went in and out numerous times all morning in eager anticipation Miss Yodeling finally woke up. I had seen this box on the kitchen table and had smelled the goodies inside all night!! At first I thought it was a box of presents for the cat with all the sass but it turned out to be for the shelter cats, which is an ace in this fancy feline’s book!

Then it was time to go to the S.P.C.A.! I was more than ready to visit some way cool cats! Sadly neither Lucius nor I got to go. How unjust is that? Just because we only have one cat carrier and I refused to share it with HIM! Well I was quite cross let me tell you!!

Lucius-You`re always cross. I think we should call you Miss Cranky-Cross Puss. Look a ball of dog hair!!!!

Lu-Lu-He`s so easy to distract. Anyway my humans said I could explain the pictures in my own glorious words. It`s a small consolation but better than nothing I suppose. This is the entry for our local S.P.C.A., isn`t it lovely?

It appears they`re having a special on kitten adoptions. That makes me sad to think that so many cats need homes. I hope each and every kitten and cat finds a home just as good as mine!

Once inside you`re greeted by the resident shelter cat, and truly, who better to welcome humans in than a cat?? And a lovely one at that!

The lady behind the desk was most pleased for the donation made in the name of Life with Jack & Jill. Way to name blogs Sharon! Then a small tour of the cats that were up for adoption. Just look at all the felines needing homes!! Every single one would make a wonderful pet.

I`m sure all who read this have a humane society close to or in their hometown! If you can`t adopt a new cat or kitten or even a puppy or full grown dog, do make a donation of food, time or money. It really is a very worthwhile cause. And who knows! You may end up with a svelte feline full of wit just like me!

Lucius-Or me too! I was really glad my super nice goatherder family adopted me!! Even if I do have to put up with Madame Grumpy Spits-A-lot over there, if they hadn`t brought me in I could have ended up in one of them cages! Or maybe even worse! Although they could have skipped all them bath things. I don`t like those very much. Why are you snickering Miss Cranky-Cross Puss?

Lu-Lu-Oh just enjoying the memories is all! You looked like a drowned rat!

Lucius-Oh yeah?!? Well…you have a stinky litter box! Uh-huh, I said it! How`d you like that?!

Lu-Lu-Yes indeed! I am most chagrined and in awe of your skills with scathing come-backs. Kittens. They have so VERY much to learn. I may have to set aside some entries just to pass along my knowledge to the younger generation of fantastic and fabu felines! Well, that wraps up our day today in a neat little purrresent!

All about us!

Hello fans of fabulous felines! Welcome to Purrrsonal Thoughts!

I hope you love the look of my new blog as much as I do. It`s just filled with catitude don`t you think? Kind of like me!

Since this is my first official entry in my very own blog I thought it would be nice to introduce myself. Some good canine friends of mine Lilac, Blueberry, Bunny and Morgan too over at TALES & TAILS did this on their blog and I thought it was the cat’s pajamas! So here we go-All about Me!

Pardon? Oh. Well yes I suppose this should be all about US but truly I am not fond of that Lucius fellow and I feel his name being added to my blog should….. *Sighs* Very well, I`ll share the blog with the tiny little interloper but I will NOT change the background!! A queenly cat such I as can compromise as long as our demands are duly noted. So here it is then, all about US. Egad the things I have to put up with!

THE BASICS

NAME & AGE

Lu-Lu-My name is Lu-Lu and I`m a year old, although ladies usually don`t tell their age. Actually rumor has it that my people had a deuced time trying to think of a name for me. One day when I was about six weeks old it`s told that I did something silly (I find that hard to believe for I am never silly merely spirited) and Mister Yodeling said ‘Boy she`s a real Lu-Lu!’ Rumors can be unfounded though so if I were you I would not embrace that little folly of a tale.

Lucius-Hi!!! Wow this is neat! I like this place a lot!! Oh yeah, my name is Lucius I think and I don`t know how old I am. But I`m cute!

Lu-Lu-*Rolls eyes dramatically*

BREED

Lu-Lu-I overheard the lady at the vet once say I was a domestic longhair mix. Personally I don`t feel that description captures my true effervescence and allure. I prefer to describe my breed as domestic longhair extraordinaire.

Lucius-What`s a breed? Oh! A shiny foil ball!!

NICKNAMES

Lu-Lu-As a refined feline I usually disdain the nicknames my humans use. Lu-Lu is a splendid name but as much as it mortifies me….well…..sometimes they call me kitten britches or New-Nurrs.

Lucius-Does cutie-patootie count as a nickname? It does!?! Whoopie!!!

Lu-Lu-Seriously do you see what I now have to endure blog readers??

WHERE`D YOU COME FROM?

Lu-Lu-I was born just down the road from where I live. My mother was a wild cat who had me and my brothers and sisters in our neighbor’s garage. One day when I was three weeks old the gentleman started up a very loud piece of equipment and it scared my mother terribly. She ran off in fright! The neighbor later found us scattered about his yard as Mister Yodeling helped him look for us. I was found under a riding lawnmower grass bag by Mister Yodeling after he heard my plaintive kitten meows. Out of six kittens only three were found, I was one of the lucky ones!

Lucius-I just came from that room where the dogs are sleeping! They`re fun! More fun than Miss Cranky-Puss over there!

FAVORITES

TOY

Lu-Lu-Oh I have oodles! I simply love my fluffy yellow ball! I also adore paper and aluminum balls! If I even hear paper being crunched up I just HAVE to go investigate! Do moths count as toys? I think they do so I`ll add moths as well. This is my favorite mothing spot! It`s hours of fun and really if the lamp gets knocked to the floor is it THAT big of a deal? Also people toes are a great source of enjoyment for me.

Lucius-I like people toes too!! And rugs and paper and dog tails and ping-pong balls and—

Lu-Lu-Moving on now thank you short-stuff!

SNACK

Lu-Lu-Whisker Lickins and Pounce Moist treats. I also like Baked Nacho Cheese Doritos.

Lucius-What`s a door-e-toe? Is it like a human toe?? Those are yummy and wriggle around!!

HUMAN

Lu-Lu-This is difficult. I have three humans that I`m rather fond of for different reasons but maybe my favorite human is Miss Yodeling. She is SO much fun!! I love to sneak up on her and leap on her feet! Sometimes when she takes a shower I sneak into the bathroom in stealth mode-which we cats excel at-and steal her clean socks! Humans are very entertaining!

Lucius-Ooooo I love all humans!! Yes I do! They hug me and cuddle me and call me cute little names and—

Lu-Lu-Must we REALLY continue with this?? Well fine! But I am now cross just so you know.

FUNNY STUFF

WORST HABIT

Lu-Lu-Truthfully I don`t feel I have bad habits, merely small foibles such as using furniture for scratching posts or digging in the cat box for long stretches of time. I mean there are things in that box that must be covered and covered well correct?! So if it takes fifteen minutes and a few cupfuls of litter cast around the floor under my box daily does that make it a bad habit? I concur.

Lucius-I`m too cute to have bad habits! Miss Cranky-Puss why are you choking? Do you have a fur-ball stuck????

EMBARRASSING MOMENT

Lu-Lu-Oh dear me, this one will surely make me blush to the very ends of my long whiskers I`m afraid! Possibly the most embarrassing thing to happen to me yet occurred when I was just a tiny little kitten. I was drinking from a bottle and after each bottle Mrs. Yodeling would roll me to my back and rub my full little belly while murmuring ‘Nani-Nani-Nani’ and I liked it!! Oh the shame of it all!!!

Lucius-One time, like just yesterday, I tried to jump on the pretty blond girl’s bed and a book fell on my head!!

WHAT`S YOUR FAMILY DYNAMIC LIKE?

Lu-Lu-This is a simple one. The cat rules the house. THIS cat shorty!!

Lucius-Wowzies talk about issues. I mean, uhm….Oh look tissues!!!!

WHAT IS YOUR HUMAN`S FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOU?

Lu-Lu-I would have to say it’s the way that I can irk them completely one moment then be in their laps purring the next. I keep them on their scrumptious toes!
